Blenheim Palace Food Festival

For mum’s birthday this year we headed to a food festival at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. It was pretty giant and there was a great mix of places to get hot food for lunch and places that sold oils/sauces/salamis and other things to take home for the store cupboard.

My favourite thing was obviously pizza, but this was actually some of the best pizza I’ve had for a while. It was made by the Secret Pizza Society, who had a super fancy van. The pizza had gorgeous black bubbles on the crust and some top-notch salami on top. Big thumbs up.

Other highlights were a great hog roast by Orchard View Farm, and some amazing paella with giant chunks of gorgeous chorizo (will add a link if I find the name of the people).

You can see the website of the people who organise the festival here, so if you get a chance to go to one of their events then I couldn’t recommend it more!

Daily Dinner – Prawn Pasta

This one is a quick photo from a few nights ago when my brother cooked this amazing summery seafood spaghetti with prawns and clams and a garlicky white wine sauce. A great idea for a quick weeknight dinner now the evenings are getting longer and sunnier.

Water, Part 3

I was planning to post day 1 of my summer burger project yesterday (more on that another time), but since it didn’t quite go to plan you can have part 3 of my water photos project instead. This time my friend and I spent a while in the garden throwing a grape into a glass of water.

If you look closely at the last picture it looks a little bit like a woman sitting on a diving board getting ready to dive into the wave.

With all the sunshine that’s been going on, we rediscovered the trampoline at the weekend, but this time we took a camera on. I think I’d quite like to take a picture of every visitor we have on the trampoline because it’s the perfect place to get brilliantly weird and ridiculous photos of absolutely anyone.
